My filter coffee maker decided to pack up so I had a look on eBay and found exactly what I wanted at about the same price my now dead one was yonks ago. Postage free as well. Actually larger capacity than mine and then I saw a smaller one, and as I make a pot full, cool it and then put into a jug in the refrigerator to have either cold during the summer or just heat up a mug-full in the microwave if I want hot coffee. The big one was ideal and the smaller one? As I also make unleaded coffee it would be ideal for that, so I bought them both. So guess what? While they were in transit I thought I would try my dead coffee maker one last time... ...and it worked perfectly!
If my coffee maker packed up once, chances are it is probably on the way out, and although I do use instant coffee at times I prefer filter coffee
Mr B is welcome to whatever he has just noshed. At nearly half past midnight, with Tikva being curled up on her sleeping mat in her crate for about an hour already, I really should take myself off to bed. But I am comfortable and do not feel like moving... yet.
I know the feeling. When you know you really should go to bed but are too settled. And then when you do go, you can't actually get off to sleep! Why is it easier to fall asleep on the sofa?
So true, and why, when you have been dying for it to get late enough to let the dogs have a last wee and go to bed, does something really rivetting come on the TV? Something so rivetting, that you cannot remember anything about it the morning after!
Television? Wassat? No, no way could I fall asleep on the sofa - it might be a daybed which opens up to a double but I cannot even sit on it! In any case Tikva commanded it and I would have to chuck off a dozen or more toys to even sit on it. Xanadu was built so I can sit well supported, and with the new seat cushion [the previous one was totally deaded] I tend to zonk off here. But BUT at nearly 1am I AM GOING TO BED. Lila Tov everyone!
Toda Raba for the goodnights! Yes, Lila means night and Tov means good. So I will now wish you all Boker Tov [good morning] although it is afternoon here! Right. "Dead" coffee maker still working but I have tried the two new ones and they are perfect. The big one came with a Chinese three-pin plug but they sent a universal adapter with it. The smaller one had an American two-pin plug and was also sent with a US/EU adapter - not that I needed it as I have a load of those from various re-chargeable emergency lights. I could, of course, remove both plugs and put Israeli/EU ones on but I do not think I will bother. Incidentally, even though it was gone 1am by the time I finally got to bed, and Tikva eeped for a pee around 6.30am, she shot out, pee'd and shot back in again, and we both then slept until nearly 9am! She really is a good little girl... when she wants to be!
