My Story:

My story is a bit sad but hopefully with a happy ending now.
For 11 years we had absolutely the worlds best dog, our GSD Ben. Everything about him was wonderful and it broke our hearts to have him pts after a very difficult last few months. We then probably rushed in to getting another puppy GSD very soon after Ben died. We were still grieving and thought it would help heal us. We then had Bear. Bear unfortunately developed a very serious heart murmur and after several months and consulting with the vet we reached the decision to return him to the breeder. This was heartbreaking but we just were not strong enough to go through looking after a sick dog after what we went through with Ben. About 8 months after we decided to start looking into another dog. After Bear we decided that we did not want another puppy or GSD. We started looking around our local rescue centre and eventually rehomed Max a young labrador. He has been with us for about 7 months now and totally one of the family.
