Hi everyone am newbie but wondered if anyone has an Irish Setter and had them spayed? My little girl is 4 next month and for the last few seasons she has geared herself up for hurrendous false pregnancies about 6 wks after season. She is out of sorts quite badly, cant keep still or settle, she dithers and paces up and down. She has taken to destroying some fo her toys and digging in the garden. Some days she is really poorly when she dithers so much she looks like she will pass out or something. She gives me such an upsetting look like she needs help. My dog trainer friend advised me to give her Kalms tablets as they are natural but i dont think i should give her more than one a day. I am seriously considering having her spayed although i have refused since we had her as a 9 wk old puppy after seeing pictures and hearing of setters losing their coat condition after spay/neutering. Anyone any advice please? thx x
