Only 3 more sleeps until Chester comes home!!
Had a bit of bad news last night his bone in his front left leg is growing quicker than his tendons. Looks like it's swelled but worse case scenario is a splint.
Breeders vet says 9/10 it will sort itself but just need to keep an eye on him.
He's not in any pain just walking with a bit of a limp.
His energy or playful personality isn't affected. We still love him and can't wait for him to come home to us

Poor Chester, I hope he will not have his peg leg for too long. I hope he settles into your home quickly, and you have a lovely life together. A Happy Gotcha Day for tomorrow.

@GsdSlave The vet has said with his splint on it should sort it out.
Doesn't affect what he can do can get on the sofa all by himself already :)

Congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of being a Pei owner!

Fingers crossed that he'll sleep all night. Not sure whether I was just lucky but both mine never woke me during the night from the first day I had them. Pei even as puppies seem to have bladders like Olympic sized swimming pools and they're exceptionally clean dogs who don't like to soil in their own home.

    Good luck!

Thank you @Pork1epe1! So glad to have him home now. We've had him for around 7 hours now and he's only had 3 wee accidents. Did a number 2 outside so really proud of him. He's all of a sudden woke up and now wants to play. His favourite is a rope toy at the moment.

I am so glad that Chester is now home - when you said he was coming home tomorrow I should have checked the time you posted as I have it set at my time, so I misunderstood and did not realise that you meant today!

Please give him a cuddle from me! :D

Chester had a good first night! Settled and was Snoring with in 5 minutes of being left in the living room. He prefers to sleep on the sofa rather than his bed haha!
Woke us up around 5.20 this morning to do his business outside.
6 wet accidents in total on his first day so I don't think that's bad.
    He's such a little character!!

@CaroleC he is! He's a right little piggy!! With the grunting noises he makes I've given him the nick name 'pork chop'
Just hoping he starts sleeping through on his own soon haha!

As of last Tuesday Chester now weighs a whopping 9.2kg! He does well on and off the lead and loves his walks! He has taken such a shining to children and wants to play with them! He loves it when my 4 year old niece comes to visit!!
