....and sort of annoyed! A hedgehog has decided to pay us a visit each evening. Possibly the same one I was feeding last year - it didn't turn up again in Spring so I thought it hadn't made it through hibernation. Though it's lovely to have a hedgehog, and I feel obliged to feed it, it means I can't let the dogs out in the back garden once it gets dark. They go into a frenzy dancing round it. I haven't got as much control over their behaviour as I thought!
We thought we had rats under the shed, until I met a rather large Hedgehog searching for snails on the path one night. Tweed used to be horrid to them - though she usually came off the worst - and the noise at around midnight was embarrassing. The two Beags are more curious than anything, a lot of tracking and sniffing, but they haven't made any noise - yet! I don't feed the hedgies though, plenty of slugs and snails to go round.
