    Not his salmon prawns crab & lobster they are K9's favourite food, he's having poach yellow haddock tomorrow for din dins

    K9 is vegetarian so he as fish & veg every meal [I still put meat down just in case he as turned into a meat eater] salmon is his favourite fish followed by yellow fish, plus he loves oysters to but he only get these at Christmas for a extra special treat.

    Is all that really good for dogs? I doubt they'd be eating all that cholesterol filled seafood in the wild. If I could afford it, Nigredo would eat prey model raw. A vegetarian dog? What?!

    K9's choice not mind he wont eat meat whether cooked or raw & the vets have said fish is good substitute for meat & as dogs are carnivores & omnivores, so K9 is getting food he likes not food that he don't like.

    There are plenty of premium white fish, and salmon dog foods, and I'm sure that some dogs prefer the stronger flavour of fish. I would be a little worried about the salt levels in some types of raw fish though. I think yellow haddock is delicious, but it does taste quite salty.

    Pollock, hake, halibut, cod, haddock & sole [K9 loves Dover sole one of the most expensive type of sole] are the white fish K9 eats all poached or steamed, the yellow fish is naturally smoked haddock [no artificial colouring or additives] K9 as very expensive taste buds, he's got fresh whole crab today [will remove crab from its shell first]

    I'm less concerned about fish (though I'm still concerned) than I am about foods like crab, shrimp, etc. A dog that won't touch any kind of meat but will eat fish. Dogs are carnivores, though unlike cats, they aren't obligate carnivores. My previous dog wouldn't touch any kind of kibble and wouldn't eat most raw meat, but I've never heard of a dog that hated ALL meat. Sounds impossible. Talk about the loss of natural instincts.
