I get the impression you are just posting to annoy everyone now, and to be honest if you are determined to get this puppy then more fool you, i will expect to see it in the rescue centre in a years time when you can't cope with its behaviour or possibly even sooner when it tries out its teething on your 2 yr old.

Whether you like it or not, this is supporting back yard breeding and its not clever. We try to educate the public on how to buy dogs and what to look for and no wonder its ignored if people just don't want to hear it.

I think you are very misguided and not sure why you are on a forum if its not to get advice and others opinions.

If it's not a status dog, why are calling it an American Bandogge when it's a mutt? Why is it so important to you to have a fancy designer dog name instead of just telling people it's a crossbreed?

You've just said you're not sure what it's going to look like as an adult, so god help it if it doesn't turn out like you want it to.

So, have both the parents been hip scored? I doubt it if it's an "accidental" litter. As for full pedigree, neither breed is registered with the Kennel Club so the pedigrees aren't worth the paper they are written on - anybody can write a pedigree up or print one off the computer.

I hope you are a troll rather than a real person, but sadly I think you might all too real.

:005: You are joking? Most dogs you see walking round that look like pitbulls are pitbulls. Not just 'of the type' crossbreeds. There are more pitbulls in the UK now than before the ban. And American Staffs (same breed a lot of the time I know). And there are plenty blue pitbulls about, both blue and blue brindle. Plenty with black pigmentation too. In fact, up here I can't ever remember seeing a red nosed one. Someone local to me has a beautiful blue female. Plenty blue staffies about too.

many mastiff crosses have elbow, skin, eye and hip conditions...if u are getting this pup from unknown unhealthtested stock, are you prepared for the vets bills, time and possible limited activities you can do with a dog of this type?(although that can happen with dogs from tested stock to but u start off with a better chance)
also, why a cross? my thoughts would be you want a large breed and have a toddler....why not go for a purebreed where temperament is a known as a cross can take on any aspects of any breed in its heritage, even dogs u dont see are there..again a bit for of a lottery...imo health,kids.... best to try to start off in the best way possible :)

I have a litter of American bull x South African boerboel and you got all these muppets on here talking about back yard breeders etc if I want to breed my two dogs to have a pup out of them ill do it as they are my dogs.....
Does every human have health checks before they get down and dirty.....you know who you are.....
My pups are 7weeks today and they will be leaving the nest when I say, I am the owner....
    My sire is American
    My dam is boerboel
But every dog is a cross breed originally.....you tube.....American x boerboel and you'll see why people want to cross the breed....
Sad people, sad lives go play 'another site' or plenty fish....

Hmmmmm, why do I feel these are the same person :D

Why join a site to come to a year old thread and say that, in your first post?

You can do as you please with your dogs, you're right.

Doesn't make it good for them, right or good for those breeds.

    It just makes you irresponsible.

But you're right, you're an adult and the owner, if you want to choose to be irresponsible, then you have to deal with the consequences.

No one is slagging off cross breeds.

If someone is breeding a cross for a purpose, with health tested (hips, eyes, heart, NOT just vet check) parents, full lifetime support, takes puppies back if the owners can't cope, properly socialises their puppies and evaluates new owners as suitable for their dogs and able to manage their dogs temperaments, breeds rarely and only to well researched dogs....

Then no, I don't have issue with it.

I don't have issue with rehoming mixed breeds.

I own an oops dog, and would get another if it was right, free to a good home or minimal rehoming fee, and the parents were then spayed/neutered.

If you're talking about a "breeder" that intentionally breeds dogs for no good reason, no health testing, no care where they go, no guarantees or lifetime support, and breeds often, then yes.... Ill slag them off! It's the 'breeders' I have issue with, not the dogs.

Congratulations on the new puppy! I wouldn't personally purchase a puppy from a breeder under the age of 8-weeks-old. An American Bulldog x Boerboel is not a Bandog, it's a crossbreed. There are only three types of true Bandog: Australian Bandog, American Bandogge (American Bulldog x English Mastiff) and American Bandogge Mastiff (American Pit Bull Terrier x English Mastiff). A cross between an American Bulldog and Boerboel will likely be somewhere between the size of an American Bulldog and Boerboel. But, be prepared for a dog as small as 60 pounds or a dog as big as 200 pounds. Unfortunately, I can't see your photograph.
