Northern Inuit Dog and Utonagan - Owners Thread

I've cleared this with Azz and he can't see why we shouldn't be able to have a NI Owners thread, so here it is

Please only use this thread if you are a NI or Ute owner, wishing to share the joy of your dog. For everyone else please use the rest of the section with your questions etc. Thanks!

Please post your experiences, pictures and anything else you'd like to say about your dogs :) there will be no negative comments on this thread unless you are asking for a critique.

Shunka, he is a one off , a fabulous boy. I am sure he is a person reincarnated as a dog:

Frist up is Ela - Cabales Robina 2 years and 1 month old

My beautiful complex girl. She is shy of strangers but loving and loyal to her family, it only takes a couple of trips now to become excepted as well. She loves to be involved in everything we do and any new experience. Other then stangers nothing phases her in the least. She is very intelligent and picks up things far to easily inc the fact if she refuses her food we will crack and giver her something better!

Ref character, as I know these dogs have been called timid elsewhere. I just want to say that non of my dogs have been shy, timid or fearful of people or anything else!!! I would go as far as to say they are very bold.

...i am an n.i owner...but i dont really see why we should be 'ist' about it??
everybreed has good and bad points and has otherpeeps views...kinda strange to only want to hear good things imo..kinda head buried in sand

kinda them and us :-( that makes me sad :-(

if i started a csv thread there would only be me lol :-(

eta...... do love Kiba tho :)

With regards to character Kiba is a lovely boy. He's been socialised with other dogs since he was 12 weeks old (and before that at puppy parties) because I run a dog boarding business in my house. Kiba will play quite happily with big dogs or small dogs and adjusts his style of play according to the other dog.

Kiba is very friendly and would be a completely useless guard dog...the children in the area all love him and run down the road to stare through the fence yelling "Husky puppy! Husky puppy!" and if I let him out to play with them they chase him around and around.

Kiba can be a bit wary around some men, which is something we are working on together. It's mainly army men in full camo gear that he's not sure about, with big backpacks and camo hats.

I am hoping to get him in to PAT training once he's out of his puppy stage since I think this will be a good experience for him and for me. :)

The board was created simply for people to talk about their dogs without all the drama that comes with them elsewhere.

It's unfortunate that there are very few CSV owners here.

Raina - Mahlek Pawnee New Moon 9 months old

Raina is my happy go lucky girl she faces everything with a smile on her face. She is a cheeky cow but so loving you forgive her this. Not as bright as Ela but she still loves to learn new things, mostly because it means she gets food for it which she LOVES! She is very outgoing and loves everyone.

Both my girls are very playfull and full of life which could be a handful if you had never had a dog before. In the park we have to rein them i a bit when meeting other dogs as they are very enthusiastic about it. They both can eat anything (and Raina often does) with out getting a bad tummy and have only been to the vet for boosters and Ela had a skin infection once.

I'm a little apprehensive, as I think it'll soon be hijacked by the usual crown. But, good on yer for trying. as you've said NI corsses are OK, here's a few from a Brisitsh Inuit
