Hi all, My 15 year old Weimaraner has been to hell and back with diagnosed pancreatitis and what also looks like HGE. After many days and nights in the vets on intensive fluid therapy she is coming through it and has been home since Friday. She has an appetite again without anti nausea meds (albeit reduced). She now has small dark brown jelly poops rather than the gush of large amounts of bloody water that she was having. I am wondering if anybody knows how long it takes for normal poops to appear and will her normal appetite return. She is on metronidazole omeprazole and clavaseptin until monday next week. Any help appreciated
The dark brown jelly poop is old blood. Should return to normal by the time you finish the medication.
