Hello all. I just purchased a Presa Canario puppy who will be coming home at the end of next month. I am going to be doing personal protection with her and I will need a good quality agitation muzzle. I have never ordered any kind of muzzle before, let alone one large enough for the breed. I have a long time before I need to make the purchase but I want to start looking for one now. It is important to me that this muzzle will be adjustable so I can assure a proper fit. It is also important to me that the muzzle can be worn long term for training purposes, which will require it to be extra big to allow the dog to pant. I can easily find good candidate muzzles for shepherd type dogs, but I can’t seem to find one for a mastiff. Please HELP me!
There is a black Baskerville muzzle made for The Company of Animals for Bull Breeds, but I don't know whether it would be suitable for your discipline. It is a soft plastic basket pattern which allows the dog to pant and drink.
