Hi, Thank you so much for welcoming me in the forum. I don't have any breed yet, But planning to own the Bernedoodle. But I really don't know much about this new breed. Anyone here having the great Bernedoodle info. Please let know is this dog ok for the families?
Hello Johny - Bernedoodle is not a breed, it is a deliberate cross-breed, and as Bernese Mountain Dogs are a large dog I am rather puzzled that the site you linked to says that there are miniature, and toy "Bernedoodles" - even going so far to call miniatures "Teacup Bernedoodles". To "shrink" a large Bernese into "teacup" size by crossing smaller and smaller Poodles with first or second generation crosses, with the resulting multi-cross still looking like a Bernese, does not sound ideal to me, especially as there will be more and more Poodle in the cross, but that is just my opinion.
