Who do you think the unhealthy dogs were registered with pre Oct 2006 and who do you think the younger dogs parents were registered with before that...
Some NI`s i`ve seen have really massive heads too.. that must come from the mastiff.
Apparently the problems start in adulthood at approx 2 years old. I do hope it won`t be the case with your pup.

The biggest NI litter i`ve seen is 12.. all survived. The smallest was 4. Rumour has it that Mastiff & Weimaraner were added to NI at the begining,...
