How long is a malamute's life expectancy?

According to the 2005 Kennel Club health survey, the median age of death is 10yrs 8mths. This is only from a small sample so may not be totally accurate, but it is quite a good age for a large breed.

I read up on them a few hours ago to answer another friends enquiery, the general life expectency is 12 to 15 years

Lol well i was havin a little argument with a non malamute owner and he said that it was 10 years and I reckoned 13-15 years.

Never really read up on life expectancy,it just came up in conversation.

I think 13 is the oldest that I have known about

I know a Mal who passed away earlier on this year at 15 1/2, but that age isn't too common
