Any ideas on this x ?

    Hi all,
This is my dog "Bear". He is 11 kg. 15 mths old.
Loves to swim. Great at retrieving ball, playing frisbee etc.
I have no idea what sort of dog he is.
    Any ideas?

Sorry no idea at all he is long in the back but then there are a good few dogs that are may be terrier and dachs but who knows could be a combination of several breeds or a first cross but I for one have little idea. Admit I have seen a few pure breeds that did not look like the breed they should have been so it is not confined to crosses or mongrels. Could even be a Silky cross :002:

My first impression was Basset Hound because of the turned out front paws and long back, but as to what else is there - I haven't a clue!

Jack russell, border collie mix, maybe even more. A friend of ours has collie-type mongrels and she knows the parentage has collie, but also german shepherd, maybe dobermann or rottie-cross, which gave them the black and tan colouring.
An they're only small, just look at this crossbetween a rottie and a basset hound: [IMG]

And it's not a photoshop job, this dog was actually up for adoption at battersea dog's home.

I can definitely see Jack Russel Terrier in your dog.
