My Border collie, Honky, hasn't learned to catch a frisbee on the fly yet. He let's the frisbee hit the ground, then picks it up. I have had three other Border collies before Honky and I have NEVER had to teach them how to catch a frisbee on the fly. I just tossed the frisbee out and they caught it in flight. What am I doing wrong? Oh, Honky is 15 months old.
Does he catch other things? Try him with a ball. Stand very close and gently toss it to him. If he starts to catch it, you can build up from there. It's worth noting though that some dogs just don't like catching things and prefer to pick up instead
Luv his name... Honky ... just asking, why is it important for him to catch it in flight, sounds like Honky has got his own thing going on...
