    British timber dog breed standard

    I wonder what a to breed standard dog actually looks like :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

    GENERAL APPEARANCE

    The British Timber Dog is a powerful, Wolfish course haired dog. The legs are long without the dog giving a long legged impression.

    PROPORTION

    The British Timber Dog is longer than it is high. The upper jaw and skull keep closed to each other.

    HEAD

    The head must give a Wolf-like impression and its size must be in harmony with the body. The skull is broad and smooth with a light curvature in between the ears and it is gradually wedge shaped towards the eyes.

    EYE

    The eyes are medium-sized, almond shaped and slightly inclining, preferably yellow.

    EARS

    The ears are erected and medium sized and end up slightly pointed from a wide basis. They are fleshy, triangular with a rounded tip, well haired on the inside and slightly inclining.

    NECK

    The neck is well musculared and gradually passes into the rump.

    BODY

    The Rump are slightly more long than the height of the dog (measured at the withers)

    BACK

    The back is straight and strong, the loin is powerful and muscular.

    UNDERLINE

    Straight line and strongly.

    ROD

    The tail is joined rather deep and carried in the shape of a Sabre when in rest and does not show much movement. The British Timber dog can carry its tail in upward position when in movement and when showing dominant behaviour.

    FORELEGS

    The fore legs are well-hooked with straight legs and elastic metatarsus. A slightly outwards position of the fore feet is allowed.

    BACK LEGS

    The back leg is normally hooked, powerful and muscular.

    FEET

    The feet are slightly oval, and webbed.

    GAIT

    A typical persistent trotter, who can trot in its characteristic speed comfortably large distances. The gait of the British Timber Dog is light and loose and flexible but cautious, so that a quick change of speed is possible. The gait is very typical and resembles that of a wolf.

    COLOUR

    From light to dark shaded black-aguticoloured Wolfsgrey.

    From light to dark shaded brown.

    This standard will develop as we introduce original breeds to expand our gene pool.

    Please can somebody explain the shocking wording, spelling and how ANY living creature could possibly exist if it even resembled those points I have highlighted.

    eta - do read the breed standard. It`s very entertaining. I particularly enjoyed learning that the ears were erected and that this is a persistant trotter.

    Oh dear God, disgusting, another case of people being conned for posh named crossbreeds,with stupid price tags. There are so many husky,mal, NI, Ute,and other wolfy type named crossbreeds and their crosses in rescue, why would you buy one at that price???:?

    Are these the ones that are N.I X CWD, love how they are described as family pets:lol::lol::lol:

    Well looking at the web site looks like two people with NI going it alone.
    Some of the photos where the dogs are meant to be all wolfy looking. They just look like they need a good brush

    Well considering how appallingly amature and gramatically incorrect that standard is it just shows you the lack of education and poor mentality of the people involved in this type of dog:evil::evil:

    Terrible :( That breed standard doesn't even make sense - I'm no expert on writing breed standards but I do know English...

    I looked on their gallery, some of them are from early NI/Ute dogs, just changing the name again I see :(
