Hi Vee, this is the main problem below and farms should be banned and top showing breeders should only own the dogs...who tag the bitches pedigree for 18mths so the new owner can't breed them and still do regular check ups to make sure they're in a proper environment.

However many staffie fans fired back, stating that had a bad reputation due to poor owners who forced it to be aggressive, exploiting its high trainability.

Some nice stories but I found the format peculiar. I couldn't suss the reasons that had decided the order that the 100 breeds were in. It wasn't based on registrations, or even an estimate of the population that included unregistered stock, as some minority and low litter sized breeds were significantly higher than they would have been. Also, I didn't see why the top ten had been decided, but the final order of them was left to a public vote.

Carole the final vote went to the public to see if the breed in my opinion was still being looked at as being a dangerous breed, with the bad press they've had stated on them...it's the owners who need taking in to care not the dogs.

Dot what i'm pleased about is the breed really being recognized against bad press and this shows other people out there that the breed is a beauty of a dog in all facts :)
