    Crocodiles in Australia

it’s best to stay at high altitude up here in the north to get away from the crocodiles .
    Especially for the dogs .

this guy wanted to swim where there’s crocodiles and almost payed the big prize .

He said on the news he thinks he pulled its eye out to escape .
    Yikes !

Well we don’t have saltwater (estuarine) crocodiles here only freshwater ones (much less dangerous) , you do only have to go about half hour up the road for those saltwater crocs though :(

We do have plenty of snakes around however .
Saw this one last week walking the dogs in the bush .

of course most of them are deadly here .

Crocodile footage that was on the news tonight .

Here is one of the reasons why they tell people don’t go near the ocean at night and don’t sleep on the beach up here .

Yes that’s the same story on that UK news site you’ve posted.

the people seemed a bit too complacent about it although I know it was first after the sharks they had caught .
Too close for comfort as they say .

Here is one from a while ago , guy catches a barramundi but couldn’t get the fish , because the crocodile came out of the water and was too fast .

    they can move too:)

imagine this fish is probably a meter or so they are big fish , swallowed it easily

Although they do eat the occasional tourist , it’s safe as long as you don’t do silly things generally .

I feel blessed to live in Australia actually .

    Although ......

I do wonder what it’s like to live in New Zealand , no snakes , hardly spiders etc where you can pretty much sleep outside on the ground without worrying about waking up dead :)
