Dog colour Questions

    Dog colour

    Hi, iv had my frenchie over the weekend for a trial. She is 9 months and iv been told she is a miniature lilac and tan Isabella. What does this mean and what price is she worth. Can anybody help me please

    If you intend showing your Frenchie, please refer to the Kennel Club or Breed Club breed standard for the country that you live in. The UK KC has quite a narrow range of permissible colours, the USA has a slightly wider range.
    Personally, for a pet dog, I would not pay over the odds for a non-standard colour, but there are others who believe there is a kudos in so-called rare colours, and charge a premium for them.

    I would also be wary of a miniature French Bulldog. A Frenchie should be approximately the standard weight and size for the breed - again refer to the breed standard. Maybe this is just an undersized puppy, but do beware of being sold a runt at an inflated price!
