How to Reduce Excessive Shedding in Dogs?

Not sure you can tbh. Most Pug owners claim their Pugs shed all year round but I have 3 and find they shed once a year. I can only assume that's down to the amount of exercise and ruff and tumble in the open lifestyle they lead. If they are shedding all year they are leaving it outside which is fine with me. All you can do is make sure they are brushed regularly not that mine are.
Is this the Golden? Golden's can lose a vast quantity of coat when they moult. I always used a T shaped rake on mine to take out the bulk, (nowadays there is the Furminator), and followed up with VERY regular combing. You could also try a coat supplement, the one made by Lintbells seems to be popular.
Wish I knew the answer GSD’s shed constantly throughout the entire year and even more heavily with the changing of the seasons.
Thanks for your reply.
