Is there any truth in developing addisons from being operated on ?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Very reluctant re-home of Horus - a stunning top pedigree Northern Inuit
Dog. He is a long coat - and looks just like a heavy coated Mexican red wolf
    - (Photos of comparison can be provided). He is fully registered with the
Northern Inuit Society, is wormed, Vaccinated, etc. Mum is Shadowlands
Sorrell - dad is Mahlek Inukashuk - both parents are multi-rosette winners.
Horus had an operation at 7 weeks old - which has led to him developing
Addisons Disease. He needs Florinef medication every day to keep him
healthy. (Works out at £80 per 3 months). However, for those living near to
a PDSA hospital medical costs will be greatly reduced to affordable
donations to the charity. Addisons is a permanent condition, but is easily
managed by medication. Horus will live a good long healthy life, as long as
his Addisons is kept at bay. He simply is a stunning dog! I am constantly
stopped by people asking if he has wolf in him!! His temperament is just
awesome! He is gentle, loving, very faithful, and exceptionally well
behaved! Due to his young age he is still very playful! He is obviously
making up for lost time!!! As stated above, this a very reluctant sale, but
due to a recent change in circumstances we won't be able to give him the
time he deserves over the coming months. Obviously in light of his illness
he will have to go to the right home - so ALL homes will be carefully
vetted. We are asking £150 for him, but this is to cover the costs of any
food, medication, and fuel during the re-homing process.

I think high doses of steroids can cause it, when stopped, but cant imagine what a 7wk old pup could need them for. He sounds like a nice chap though.

ETA Jackbox beat me to it.
