Hello there, (ack, been away from this forum for quite a while due to moving and so on, anyways, back now and HI again ) I'm wondering if there are people around who have a Lakeland Terrier? Currently sitting on a project of making a bespoke collar for a rather petite Lakeland lady, can't ask her owners as it is going to be a christmas present, and I have no idea what her collar size / neck circumference would be? I checked on the internet, they suggested 16"-20" which seems absolutely ridiculous for such a small dog. So any help would be appreciated Thank you Caramel
Google tells me that they are the close cousins of fox terriers! I shall measure my foxies for you Stand by while I find my tape measure! Edit: Found it Ripley is 12 1/2 inches (7.5kg) and Rory is 13 1/2 inches (9.5kg)
I actually thought the same, then doublechecked what they suggested for Whippets and it was 12"-14" which is very accurate Thank you, BlueJay. The thing is: I know the Lakeland-girl, and her neck definitely is smaller than that of my Whippet boy who has 29cm/11,5" I don't want to spoil the surprise for the owners by asking them
Hi there, We have two Lakies and their necks each measure around 11". Poppy & Rufus are not petite, they are a fair bit bigger than others we have met in the past. Hope this helps. Sue
Thank you, Sue! I think I'll go for around 10" which was my first guess anyways and with you mentioning your rather big ones have 11" it sounds about right
