Since I'm on here for a few mins, answering a query, or rather offering to find out the answer to a query, I thought I may as well introduce my new girl, Rhuna. She's nearly six months old, and a flatcoat retriever: That last one with Indie, was taken last night, in front of the Yorkshire range. Sire is Gowran Mars Black of Varingo, dam is Evensong Northern Star of Arrowhill.
Thank you, and yes, I've posted these pics on a couple of other forums, although I've tried to cut back a bit on forum life, as I'm just so busy atm with job, business, house and dogs. And likely to be even busier soon, with house move and another pup on the horizon! Just for info, the full brother to Mars Black, Indigo Extra, is doing very well at competition, that particular litter seems to have been very successful, and Rhuna's breeder has only bred two litters in her 20 years of involvement with the breed, so I feel very privileged to have this little girl with me, and we hope to have her on the grouse moor in the fullness of time
Not yet, I will get round to it, I'd also like to show Rhuna if I get chance, once we're moved/settled etc. Rhuna's breeder has sent me details of all the things I should be looking at joining, and I'm also in touch with Polly King on a fairly regular basis, and another person local to me in Yorkshire, who shows/works their flatcoats. I'll get there, in the end!
She is an absolute beauty! We regularly spend time with a young female Flatcoat when we take Dex to the park, as the two dogs adore each other. The ones I've met have all been very lively, playful, intelligent dogs - lovely breed!
Beautiful girl and gorgeous photos, especially the ones with the dummy I love flatties, they are my 2nd choice for my next dog after tollers.
