New malamute peeing in the house

Hi there, we are new to the site and wanted to ask for some advise we have 2 Mally's, 1 female and a new 15 month old male, we were told that he is well trained and in general he is good but we are having issues arise with him peeing all over the house, is this purely him feeling unsettled, as we are opening door for him and taking him our regularly any advise is most welcome. :)

I would go back to basics Simone, that is praise the dog when I take him out and he pees (perhaps while I was saying 'go pee') and if I catch the dog in the act in the house I'd say 'Ah ah ah' and quickly lead him outside - and praise again when he pees in the correct place.

It's possible he is starting to mark his territory too.

This might help but it's aimed more at puppies: http://www.dogsey.com/dog-articles.php?t=8974

Sounds like he's scenting rather then weeing, as he's maturing & is marking (scenting) saying the "bitch" is his & warning other males in the neighbourhood to stay away.

There are several good sprays on the market, that will deter him from scenting in the house.

Strange surroundings and a bitch in residence sounds like he’s territory marking, its important to get rid of the smell completely or he will just carry on doing it, I found the best way was to mix biological washing powder with some vinegar work it into the stain, soak it up with some paper towels, when dry sprinkle some baking powder or bicarb soda on it leave to dry and Hoover.
Id confine him to the room your in for the time being so you can watch him,the moment he begins to lift his leg get his attention and take him outside’ if he goes outside praise.
    Consistency is most important.

He is marking his territory as per instinct. He is not doing this to be recalcitrant at all.
All Mal's do this especially in 'adolescence'.
Spaying helps tremendously with this and other behaviors as well, but they don't take it well for a few days.
    Good Luck
