    Pancreatitis/epic in breed

    Hi
I’m a new member to this site , I thought I would pop my experience with this breed on just incase any other owners minipin”s are going through any symptoms like mine have

    Ravenous appetite but loosing weight
Being sick and bringing undigested foot back up / bile
Lethargic / very quiet / not usual self /refusing food

    Noisey stomach ..gurgling etc
Abdominal pain ... dog in praying position
These are the symptoms my boy had
And was diagnosed with a condition called
    EPI / PANCREATITIS
Also know as a big breed illness
But not the case , it effects all sizes as my research found out
My second minpin (girl) has also nowbeen diagnosed with same condition and both dogs are not related
Please just be aware of these symptoms in this breed and have your babies checked if they have similar symptoms
The treatment for this disease is pancreatic enzymes and steroids
It was a horrible time going through this and I just want to raise awareness to other minpin owners
    Thanks for reading xx

Hello Elizabeth, welcome to the forum, and thank you for adding your experience. An unfortunate coincidence to have EPI in two unrelated Min. Pins.

Hello @Elizabeth Spence welcome to Breedia and also giving full info of what can happen in the breed, as info like this helps members who have them :)
