Have you taken him to the vet with a sample of pee?

It is something that a vet needs to check out to check for a urine infection.

It's quite common and once the infection is treated, they go back to being 'clean' again

Have him looked at by a vet. Send out a urine sample. Also there is a supplement that is basically just cranberry extract, it’s called Uromaxx, and it was a life saver for me. I bought it at my Vet and on Amazon.

My dog had parvo as a puppy, at emergency vet 12 hours after I got him. He had a prostate infection afterwards which I didn’t figure out for a few months, I just thought he was being hard to house train, which Akitas generally learn this very quickly. The prostate is around the bladder, so if it’s swollen it squeezes the bladder.
