hi, has anyone gone through phantom pregnancy dogs? how to treat it without medication and if any medication is available in the market, how to buy then?
You need to have a vet check her out to make sure that's the actual problem. They can advise you as to if, and what, medication is needed.
It has only happened to me once - a Golden Retriever. She started producing milk and getting very possessive about a large round squeaker. (A Gonk for those who have long memories). We had to remove her toys and increase the amount of her exercise. She did have some tablets from the vet, but not the hormone ones that they give nowadays. I recommend seeing a vet, as during a season is the most likely time to develop an infection, and in some cases the symptoms can appear similar to a pseudopregnancy.
