    Sneaky Eddie

Eddie started to behave like an assistance dog when I was quite ill, about seven years ago now. Although he doesn't do as much these days, he still likes to pick up any fallen items that he finds on the floor, and he will usually get a thank-you treat for doing so. This morning I heard a muffled, 'Gre-re-re', (trans. Here you are), and in struts Eddie, carrying a sock. Where had it come from? I had put my yesterday socks in the washing machine that morning - definitely not left them on the floor. I walked into to the kitchen and the washing machine door was wide open. The little monster had opened the machine door, and taken a sock out - just to earn a treat. What a con man. Needless to say, he didn't get his treat!

Oh you cruel mum. He'd have got one from me if only for his ingenuity :)

Aww, Eddie definitely deserved a treat - after all, he thought he was being helpful.
