I would say not to leave them alone for long periods because they need your company.

to be prepared for a constant shadow - they wanna do EVERYTHING with you! and your life begins to revolve around them as you become as attached to them as they are to you!

Imagine a jumper made out of the fur, it would be so much softer than wool. I could fill pillows with my two hmmmmm???

I would tell them they need the strength of 10 men, nerves of steel and either be good at diy or have an account with the local builder.
After this afternoons walk I would also say to remove all sharp instruments from sight as sometimes you will want to slash your wrists.
Re the wool industry - Kachinas on the Ute Dog Forum will spin it for you.

Bit of bad news on the 'woolie'front as far as I am concerned. I had them in kennels over the weekend whilst I was in Bristol, picked them up - and no hair - apparently she had some college girls in and they groomed the girls to within an inch of their lives - so all hair is gone!!!
Didn't have the heart to say to them that I have been leaving a lot of it on and just taking off the worse bits, they live outside and I knew there was a cold spell expected, they thought they were doing me a good turn I know, so said thank you with a false smile:) all the time thinking 'there goes my woolie.. plus girls gonna be cold..'
so put an extra bag of shavings in for them just in case.
However they are still lay outside now and it is very cold, so obviously they are not that bothered by it.
