My boyfriend and I recently adopted a 2 year old ACD (Abby aka "dingo dog"). She's absolutely precious and surprisingly well behaved/trained. We also have a VERY active 18 month old. Both "dingo-dog" and "monster-boy" are slowly adjusting. Abby has recently discovered not only her speed but voice which makes playtime outside hilarious. With that being said ... we are previos dog owners but have NO knowledge of this breed. ANY and ALL advice is welcomed!! Advice needed right now ... ACD's preferred food and toys?
I feed mine Science Diet <1 year old large breed puppy food, because (even when two months old) she was just swallowing the “small bites” sized food whole. As for toys; get tough ones, or they’ll be ripped/chewed apart in short order. My Blue Heeler isn‘t picky at all about toys, chews, treats, or anything else.
@TeriLynn asked about food for a two-year-old ACD and I do not think that puppy food, of any make/brand, is suitable for a two-year-old dog of any breed.
