    ...than I do not want another puppy...

    Especially not a miniature Doxie.

    Only I want one.

    What has brought this on? Am I correct that in the past you had two dogs? Have you seen one needing a home? How would that work with the rope you have Tikki on? Wouldn’t two ropes get tangled? I love having two dogs. My first dogs were littermates and my two dogs now get along great 97% of the time. The dog I had in between didn’t want me to have another dog, this was obvious to me

    I want. Do not think I can find one though but I want.

    I just need someone to tell me I can not have one.

    But I really do want one.

    Tikva would kill me though.

    If Tikva would kill you then you can not have one because who would take care of them if Tikki takes you out???

    Yes, I had Lexi and Pereg, and years ago I had a houseful when I bred Griffons.

    I know I can not have another puppa - just blame Martha!

    There are times when YouTube is worth its weight in gold,

    I know I can never have another puppa but I can always watch Martha, and she always makes me smile.

    You can have many other dogs vicariously thru others.... I like reading books about mountain climbing but have not much desire to do so myself.. so I do it vicariously from my recliner where I’m nice and warm and dry and well fed...

    You know you can't have another, Juli - neither can I.

    As we get older we get more accident prone so it's definitely not a risk worth taking.

    I'm making the most of every single second I have with Rosie because she is my last dog. I'm too old now to thing of getting another x

    I am pretty sure that these two Beags will be my last dogs, though I might adopt a Golden Oldie if anything terrible happened to one of them. More and more Beagles are reaching their late teens - occasionally even twenty - so I just hope that I can manage to be with them to the end.
    I feel lucky to be in touch with two of Merry's puppies who live in pet homes, and I have lots of photos of them, also I see two of her grandchildren live in the same show home. Fingers crossed, there should be some great-grandpups to watch for next year. Living vicariously, as you say Marc.

    Oh I know that I can not have another puppa and I doubt I will outlive Tikki - who I adore so much that I can not go past her without kissing her head and telling her how much I love her. And do not worry, arrangements have been made for her - might be a bit of fighting over her though!

    This is not because I did not love any of my previous dogs - of course I did. But a miniature Doxie? I probably would not be able to see her - I have gotten used to Tik being small and she is not that small really, but a mini?

    Nah, Martha will have to be my "what I want but can not have", and in any case I have the funniest, cutest hetzi Doxie in the widest world, and her name is Tikva.
