Hi everyone. Does anyone have any ide what this might be on my boys tummy? It’s super itchy. I’ll be taking him to the vet.

Is this a puppy? It looks like an allergic reaction. If so, it could be to anything that he has been in contact with, most frequently flea saliva, damp hay or grass mite, sandfly bites, a change of washing powder, etc.
it is worth a visit to the vet for an actual examination.

When you do take your boy to the vet, ask for a skin scrape and some hairs plucked for testing so they know exactly what is causing the spots and how best to treat that itchy condition.

I hope it will clear up soon.

No, he’s 9 years old. He had something like this a couple months ago and the vet said bacterial infection. Antibiotics cleared it up but it’s back again. I will call the vet this morning. Thank you!

Yes. Bacterial infection. He’s had it three times. Last trip to the vet they didn’t prescribe antibiotics. But gave me antibacterial shampoo, anti itch pills and antibacterial ointment. I bathed him three times a week for three weeks and now once a week. It’s working great!

My dog would get this too, in the same spot, took trying many different meds and it kept coming back till we tried apoquel. She is on that daily and hasn’t had it since. They said it was anti biotic resistant staph infection.

Update. Mookie has had this bacterial infection two or three times this year. The only thing that works is Douxo Pyo Shampoo.
