Hello. We have a 3 yr old Shih Tzu mix she has skin issues and smells yeasty, scratches till she is infected with a bacterial infection. We have had her to the vet and she has received injections to lessen the scratching and we have an appt at OSU for allergy testing next week. Her skin looks red scaly and flaking on top of the smell- has anyone else had an experience such as this - looking for some other view points on this issue - we did the dog food testing period to no avail the problem didn’t resolve its self
My 2 yr old has had yeast infections in her ears, (both now). They say it could be an allergy too, but I don't know. We haven't had her tested for allergies yet. They put drops in her ears and it clears up. But, she also is itchy thrift her body. I'll watch her and see if it worsens. Good luck with your fur baby.
