What else is your vet suggesting? Blood tests are just the beginning efforts of a diagnosis.

Frenchies are known to have gastro issues. Are they checking him for colitis, etc?

No one can really state what the problem is. And sometimes it even takes the vet several tries to determine.

Did you get him from a breeder? If so, contact them and ask for advice.

If not, look for a reputable breeder and contact them.

They will have experience with issues like that and should be able to give you food recommendations, etc, that can reduce the pain.

Has the vet checked his stools and urine?

If you can, take a video of the episode, take a urine and stool sample with you and insist you need to get to the bottom of it when you take him back to the vets.

If they say that is is his palette, do they mean that this is causing difficulty with hs breathing?
There is a condition called BOAS which is common in Frenchies and Pugs. Has your vet mentioned having an operation?

Our 9 year old frenchie is having the exact same issues! Our vet says she needs surgery for Brachycephalic airway, but why is this only episodic? And why not the first 8 years of her life? She is fine for most of the day, Then she pants, shakes and struggles for breath for about an hour. Did you get treatment for your blue? What was the diagnosis?
