    Pup Constant nipping

Hi All, Hope you are all well. I have a new pup who is 9 weeks old and he is constantly nipping and biting us, whats the best advice to stop this?
Any advice would be most appreciated :)

Toedtoes and Chris B like this.
Normal behaviour I'm afraid. You will probably find that shouting and Ouching just makes him think it's a game. The best way is to teach him that the fun stops if he starts biting, so turn your back or walk out of the room. You can distract him with tough chewy toys like knotted ropes or a rubber Kong. You can stuff the kong with something tasty to give it greater interest, and if you use a moist filling you can freeze it to make it last longer.
There are lots of natural dried animal parts that are good for puppies to chew, like sinew and pizzles, but I would avoid rawhide and all bones.
