Why is there no new post tab once you're in a thread that's breed specific, well they're not but there is no general health section etc so you post in the breed specific one and then can't get back to new posts without going round the houses. For example the thread on Phoebe's strange discharge or Rio's growth.

When you're in a breed forum, the breed navigation shows :) this is because most people (mostly guests/prospective members) will be getting to the forums after first going to the breed profile - so the 'breed info', 'photos', 'forum' tab will always show when inside a thread or page that has anything to do with a breed.

There is an unread posts link that always shows tho - see black arrow below:

The unread posts link shows all posts that you haven't read yet. The funny thing is the unread posts link is actually the default, but I added the 'new posts' link in the nav above it as that is closer to what it works like on Dogsey. (The new posts links shows read, and unread posts - so is more a 'latest posts' page tbh - I might rename it to that..)

I initially chose the first option, ie "Click on new posts to fetch the latest posts and go from there" but I have now changed the way I browse Breedia.

I first click on Alerts, and after I have checked those I click on "Unread Posts" each time I come back to Breedia throughout the day.

As I follow various forums and threads, any new posts on them will come up on "Unread Posts".
