Which breed best for my shih tzu boy Questions

I'm going tomorrow to look at some pups they are crosses but not advertised as designer breeds., just advertised as border terrier x poodle... They look more Poodle, all of them Black some with poodle coat. Some look more Border coat. I'm not adverse to having a cross as, years a go I did and she was a brilliant little dog, I never got to know what cross she was, I didn't really care to be honest,she lived until she was 13 years old.
