    Waiting to neuter

My Ridgeback is 8 months now. I have done research and have been told to wait until he is over one year old to get him fixed. So far I am waiting. But I wonder if this is worth the long wait? Is there anyone who did not wait and has concerns now? Is there anyone who waited and feels it was best? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you

Why do you want to get him neutered?

I had my boy neutered at 15 months on the advice of my breeder. The rationale was that it allowed him to mature skeletally and behaviorally. No regrets on waiting other than not being able to take him to my preferred boarding facility until it was done (no kennels, open living with a mix of other dogs).
