    Hi Sandy,
This looks as if it could be a small knobbly wart. Skin tags are common in older dogs, but I would always recommend letting a vet check on the appearance of any new growth, - especially if it is changing shape or colour, or causing irritation.

Thank you for your responds. She never itches it and it's not red. And when I pet her she doesn't mind that I am touching it. Her next check up, I will bring it to the doc attention...

    Thank you again

    Hello, my name is Olivera.
First I want to apologise because my english is bad and I know I will make a lot of mistakes. But I need help and I hope someone will help me.
I have german spitz-pomeranian, he is near 8 month old and I read a lot about that breed, but I become woried since his hair-fur becomes much thiner in circular spots on his beck, and that lasts for three-four weak since I have notice...my vet don't know what that could be.
Please if someone knows, what I should do, I want to help him until it's not too late.
    Thanks!

    Hi Olivera,
It is hard to help you as I can't easily see the hair loss on these photos. If your vet has seen nothing suspicious - fleas are a common problem - it is likely that his skin has inflamed areas called 'hotspots'.
Could he still be losing his puppy coat? At 8 months his hormones will be kicking in, and just like teenage humans they can have an effect on the skin, which will clear as the youth becomes fully adult. Have you tried giving him a bath? Sometimes a bath using a very gentle shampoo, (something like a puppy or oatmeal shampoo) can be soothing.
If the problem continues, I would suggest looking at a possible dietary reason, and would maybe ask your vet to refer you to a veterinary skin specialist.

Thank You so much for your quick answer, it means me a lot!
Since I can't have baby at the moment he is my whole world and I just want him to be happy and healthy puppy and grown up dog later.

Maybe he is still losing his puppy coat, it is possible, but breeders told me it would lasts from 4-6 months and I don't know what to think.
Hormones was also something I was thinking about and it's ok if that corrects as the time pasts.
He eats Acana food for puppy, currently food with the most guality ingredients in here, but I start to change it with hypoallergenic "Brit care mini pappy with lamb" because my friend told me that it is often in white dogs to have chicken meat allergy.
Is that ok, tell me if it's not!?

In last days he scratches himself on the neck and around ears ( inside they are clean) every morning for half an hours ( now I see he is losing hair in that area...is it maybe normal for changing puppy coat?) after that he scratches just couple times during the day, but never touch that thined spots.
I bathed him yesterday and two and a half moths ago, how often I should do that, someone says 2 times a year, someone 3-4 and another one whenever I want.
Which number is ok for his skin condition and that breed at all?

    Sorry for my long post!
    Thank you so much!

Hello Olivera - first of all welcome to you and your pup to Breedia and please do not worry about your English - we understand you.

I cannot advise you on what food to give your pup as I am a raw feeder, and I do not know how often a dog of any breed should be bathed. And really only a vet can diagnosed why your pup is scratching and why you think he is losing hearing.

Sometimes breeders will gloss over problems their puppies might have, knowing that by the time you have fallen in love with your new family member that you will accept any problems.

Please give your puppy a cuddle from me.

You are quite right that chicken can cause allergies in some dogs. I can't advise on dog food brands as they are different in other countries, but it might be worth trying him on a grain free puppy food with a protein source that he has not eaten before - salmon is a good one to try as salmon oil is good for the skin.
Did your vet examine any combings from his coat? There is a rabbit mite called cheyletiella which can sometimes be found on puppies, and just looks like flakes of dandruff. (This is just a thought, not intended as a diagnosis).
It will not hurt him to have a bath a month while you are dealing with this problem. Use a specific puppy shampoo of a good brand. I can tell that you love your little boy, and hope his coat will blossom again soon. If he loses any more patches of coat, or if his skin starts to become sore, I would look for another vet who has an interest in skin problems.

Try also changing to a vet prescribed different brand of flea treatment. Some are better than others and dogs do tend to get immune them.

    Please keep us up-dated x

    Thank you Chris B,
I will have that on my mind,
Hulks weight now is 1650gr and my veterinarian told me that we have only one tipe of protection for fleas because
of his low weight, for a long time he didn't have any protection, everything is for 2kg and abowe that...

There are many types of flea and tick protection whatever the weight of the puppy or dog, so I think that you should find a veterinarian who knows a bit more about flea protection.

One thing I will never recommend is a Seresto Collar. Never.

My small dog has a Bravecto pill every three months, which is protection against fleas and ticks. I had previously used Frontline Spot on but Tikva is very short coated so it was not suitable for her.
