"Much has already been done over recent months by Merseyside Police and their partners through Operation Dogsafe"

However practically nothing had been done since 1991 to enforce the Dangerous Dogs Act!

Both the Police and its partners in Merseyside have been found wanting when dealing with this problem and by way of some knee jerk reaction we find now the well controlled family pets of law abiding responsible dog owners being hounded and once again being discriminated against. How many well known Dog Fighters, Drug Dealers and Gang members are going to be calling into the help line. Strangely the same amount as handed in their illegal Knives and Guns in NON.. Lets have an amnesty on Terror we would like all members of extremist groups who may be thinking of committing acts of terror to hand in all possible bomb making equipment, literature, weapons etc no prosecution will take place... Does it sound stupid? SO DOES THIS......

I dealt with the knife thing, we had a retired chef who came in and handed in his knives because he was scared of getting prosecuted. Said I'm not a chef anymore do I hand these in...... Sad Two nights later a kid got stabbed just down the road from the same Police Station, we guessed the offender would have had to have walked past the Bin outside, on his way to the club were it happened he had no intention of handing in the weapon. Even sadder
