I use a harness for my 6 month chi for that reason that he does alot of snorting!!!!
Having had both the poms were more noisy than the chi, but any dog can be noisy if they are left to long on there own.
my chi loves to walk but he would not worry if he stayed in either, he is so active in the house anyway playing with my 2 indoor cats!!!
