As you may recall i thought i had seen my 1st NI a few weeks ago in nottingham. Well i managed to see / meet him close up the other week and speak to his owner. It turns out he isn't an NI but a Sibe x GSD. He has the markings of the sibe but the frame of a gsd. Hence why i thought NI. Although he isn't an NI would the NI dog look similar to this boy?
NIs have a different frame from that of the GSD and there are many Sibe markings that you won't find in a good NI - although some are very similar, yes. Do you have any pics of the lad so that we can look at the similarities/differences?
He could well do, just as some lab crosses look almost like a lab, but not quite. Those are two of the original breeds used so he is bound to look similar.
Sorry no pics - just a chance meeting on my way into work. I think that was what made me think NI, due to his markings and size. The best way i can describe him, was GSD frame ( height / build) but the sibe markings........ grey with 1 blue eye & 1 brown eye. His coat was like a gsd in length and feel.
