Do dogs make social anxiety feel easier for anyone else?

I wanted to ask something that I have noticed about myself.

For some reason I feel much calmer around dogs than I do around people. When I spend time with a dog the pressure I usually feel in social situations seems to fade a bit. Dogs do not judge, they do not expect perfect conversations, and just being around them feels relaxing.

Sometimes when my anxiety is high, sitting with a dog or taking one for a walk helps me slow down and feel more grounded. It is almost like my attention shifts away from worrying about what people might think.

I am curious if anyone else experiences this. Do you feel more relaxed around dogs compared to being around people? If you have a dog, has it helped you cope with social anxiety in any way?
