Nigredo. Labrador mix (said to have Great Pyrenees and probably some other mutt mixed in). Currently 3 years old, 26" ATS approximately, 32" from base of neck to base of tail, and 100 lbs (45kg). Me and the vet have tried everything yet he keeps gaining weight. There's nothing I can do anymore. He recently went to the vet for his annual. All his blood tests are good, his heart and lungs etc are strong, his teeth and ears are good. His skin and coat looks good. Hes got a great gentle temperament. He loves to run down the terrace and jump in the water. His thyroid is fine, his metabolism is just horrible. The vet has put most of it down to genetics and perhaps juvenile neutering. Totally healthy and normal dog aside from being a chunky man. We're going to keep at the diet and exercise as its good for him regardless, but it's been over a year of trying and nothing is working. Oh, well!
