Hi All Figured I would start with an introduction down here in the hound thread. I am the proud owner/parent/mom/companion of Natalie, a 9 mos. old Irish Wolfhound. She is my first hound and joins our household of myself, my husband, 2 ragdoll cats, 5 goldens and 3 flat coated retrievers. I am discovering very quickly how different she is from my sporting dogs and that was made even more apparent yesterday at the dog show where she hung her head in misery at being made to look pretty in a ring for 3 minutes; so we are showing her as we do all of our dogs and she currently as a couple of AKC points under her belt at a few smaller shows where she took a Best of Breed and then at another show a Best of Opposite under some well respected judges so we have hope for her. I am looking forward to reading about your hounds and learning a bit about this very different hound attitude. so without further ado...
