Well for those that don't know wife is a nurse and works at a nursing home for the terminally ill. Prior she worked at we took Mouse to about every 2 weeks to visit the patients. The new place she had to jump through a few more hoops to get it cleared, but did. Tonight Mouse went and in the course of 2hrs visited about 50 patients and met some of there families also, along with loving on most of the staff. To his credit he never jumped or shied from anyone who wanted to pet him, he was extremely gentle with everyone. His camera shy self even took some pics with patients and there families in front of the Christmas tree. It is wonderful to watch as people who are facing the issues some of them are, brighten up and act like kids with him. Screwed up and did not take the camera, but will next visit as almost everyone wants him to come back. Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.
Well done Mouse Why don't you register Mouse as an PAT dog or Children's treatment dog, that way you be able to visit more people in hospital & Old people's home. K9 is an child's treatment dog & PAT dog Ziva, Kobi are both PAT dogs K9 is also my medic alert dog (use to be called system alert dogs)
When I was in hospital they wouldn't let my two visit me .... spoil sports! My consultant told me I'd have to be content with the dog hairs I'd brought with me. But well done Mouse ... I'm sure you're a brilliant hospital visitor and bring a great deal of pleasure to every patient you see.
