After having 3 Staffordshire bull terriers down the years with also extensive reading on them besides their back ground...I found this is the best way of keeping their coats plus ears and body free of fleas & ticks. I. Wash them at the end of each month from a pup...as it doesn't affect the oils in the coats but keeps them healthy and gets them used to being washed regular. 2. Add the correct amount of ear drops for the size of your dog. 3. Once your dog is dry...use a shammy leather cloth as it removes hair but also shines the dogs coat..old tradition for their coats. 4. Add either Drontal drops or I found Bob Martin was just as good for flea & ticks...when the coats fully dried. This is also perfect for staffy coats as you spray it on the dog and comb it through, adds extra shine besides a good barrier where rains concerned and also certain mites and also their beds (Positive Petcare) http://www.goldshieldtech.co.uk/news/positive-petcare-products-provide-protection-for-pets/
