    Is my dog a malinois?

    I have him for a while now and has already started working with him, I had a malinois when i've been in the army that looks just like my new guy, but still i am unsure and would like to get some more thoughts.

    Hi John, welcome to the forum.
    Your boy certainly looks like a Malinois to me. His ears are perhaps a little larger than most, which might indicate the presence of some German blood, but he could equally just be a BSD with a large ear. As you don't have his parentage, I take it that he is a rescue/rehome, enjoy him, he looks as if he has the makings of a good worker.

    Your boy does look like a Malinois to me but like Carole his ears do look a bit large. But he is gorgeous all the same!

    Please let us know how he gets on with your training of him - I hope he is all you would like from him.

    oh how cute. He'll grow into those ears, fear not.
    mine have been too tall at the front, and low at the back, and reverse, its only coming straight now at 6 months lol
    Definately a gorgous mali boy
