    Wafer thin whippet skin

Pippy grazed and cut her leg today on some gravel whilst running. She seemed totally fine but I took her to the vet just to be sure. She is now on antibiotics and as the cut is on her knee joint she cant run for 5 days - arrgh :-o She's like a crazy dog without a good run! Oh dear.....

Thats the trouble with whippets and greyhounds thier skin is so thin it tears and cuts so easily and it is also difficult to repair if they need stitches as they have no excess loose skin to pull together.
Hope your pup makes a quick recovery and can enjoy running around again soon.

They do indeed tear easily. I don't think I've been on a walk yet where one of ours doesn't have blood on them when they come back!!
