One of my Shih-tzu's 3 yrs. old female, seems to be pretty healthy. Took her to the groomers yesterday and she found a small like cyst pimple on top of her nose. I took her to our vet he said it was more than likely a cyst and if it didn't go away he could go in to remove it which he said would only take about twenty minutes. Has anybody had this with their doggies? He said it was nothing to worry about but I am an worrier and was just wondering. It is not big it is fairly small.
If it looks like a pimple it is probably a little keratin cyst - like a whitehead on human skin - or it could possibly be the beginning of a small wart. You may have to avoid catching it when you are grooming her, but it shouldn't cause any problems unless it starts to grow larger. However, if you are going to worry about it, you might as well have the little op. the vet has suggested. Welcome to Breedia by the way.
